    "content": "Pan-African Parliament was established in the Protocol to the treaty establishing the African Economic Community. Article 2 of that Protocol established this Parliament and laid down its functions. The purpose of the Pan-African Parliament is clearly set out in Article 17 of the African Union (AU) Constitutive Act, 2000. One of it is to ensure full participation of African people in the development and economic integration of the Continent."
