"content": "I was privileged to be the leader of delegation of the Members who went for this very important event. I have a maximum of 60 minutes but I do not intend to take more than eight minutes extra. In our Committee, we try as much as possible to benchmark even within other regional blocs like the European Union (EU) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which President Trump ditched yesterday. It is good for Members to know that one of the objectives of integrating is to create a free trade area. It is good to understand that the EAC has a population of over 150 million people."
