    "content": "The third point is what Hon. Kaluma has said. By changing this date, we might say no or yes. The truth of the matter is that we will extend the term of the President by three or four months. The Constitution is very clear that once you do that, then you have to go for a referendum. We cannot pretend that we are not aware of that fact. We are saying that we want to subject Kenyans to a referendum on the basis of the date of the election. I do not think that is the way to go. Some Members are saying that August is normally a circumcision month. Even in Ukambani, we have our own things which we do in August, which I do not want to mention. If we were to go in terms of traditions, we would not help this country. So, it is important to come up with things which will help the nation, but not talk about our traditions which are small things. We are all in cocoons of traditions and you know what we do."
