    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Chris Wamalwa; thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I think we need to put into consideration the unique circumstances in the different regions of this country as well as their traditions. That is why it is important to consider Members from the different parts of the country. Having said that, I rise to support this Bill. I feel that the August date is insensitive to Kenyans. First and foremost, asking Kenyans to travel to upcountry in the middle of the year when they are used to travel at the end of the year is an issue. Secondly, there is no doubt that this date seriously disrupts the education calendar. I am saying this because when students are preparing for their examination, it is not necessary to put them in election mode. Thirdly, Kenyans are mostly oral. What they understand most is what has been so common to them in terms of verbal passage of message."
