"content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, before I reply, I would like to apologise to the hon. Member because I have not given a written answer to him. However, I beg to answer. (a) Yes, I am aware of the existence of Kunati Irrigation Scheme that was proposed in 1975, but due to budgetary constraints, has not been implemented. (b) This Financial Year 2010/2011, the Ministry, through the Economic Stimulus Programme has allocated Kshs10 million to this project. These funds will be used to commence the implementation of the project. However, the total project cost has been estimated at Kshs65 million. It has been prioritized for funding and completion through the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP), 2011/2012 Financial Year."
