"content": "If you take your money to the bank, it is claimed off. Therefore, people will start transacting by moving cash from their houses to whatever they want to do and this is dangerous even for our security. The moment people get to know that traders are not taking their money to the bank because it is going to be taxed, then everybody‟s security becomes an issue. Madam Temporary Speaker, equally important is the taxation that has been imposed on fuel. We have listened to many explanations but the bottom line is, you tax fuel and fuel products and you have literally touched every aspect of life of Kenyans. This includes; public transport, manufacturing, air travel and many others. Whatever you do in this country, the processes of production are dependent on fuel. The moment you touch fuel, you have hit every sector of the economy."
