"content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I want to remind my colleagues that we have been attacked left, right and centre by political analysts and economic experts that we do not engage our minds seriously on budgetary issues. I would request that we take advantage of this time to debate this Supplementary Budget soberly so that we can take responsibility after passing Supplementary Budget Estimates. Therefore, chances are that we may not collect Kshs1.9 trillion. But assuming we do, the debt repayment alone will consume about Kshs870 billion. I know there will be amortisation of external debts and domestic debt rollover, but still in balancing terms, you can safely say that, The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only. Acertified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor."
