(a) Is the Minister aware that maize farmers in Western Kenya, particularly in Bungoma County, are selling their produce to brokers at Kshs.800 per bag due to failure to open the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) depots? (b) When will the Government re-open the depots and commence purchasing the produce? (c) What measures is the Government taking to avert the farmersâ burden caused by the steep rise in the price of diesel?"
