    "content": "The practice in Parliament of Australia is not far from that of the UK and USA in so far as rescission is provided for. However, it is a rare occurrence. Interestingly, in the rare occasions on which that power to rescind a decision of Parliament is resorted to, it is only carried if it garners the support of absolute majority of the House. It is my view, that the high threshold set for rescinding a decision of the House implies that just like is the case in the UK and the USA, the Australian Parliament treats its actions with finality and would not wish to re-consider a substantive matter to which a vote was already taken."
