    "content": "I want to say that the collapse of banks has nothing to do with the capital base. We have seen even big banks go under. That should not be used as an excuse to gag other players in the banking sector. Since independence, banking was monopolistic and later on an oligopolistic market for a long time. If we or the parliamentarians preceding us were making such laws, the likes of Equity Bank, which has helped the poor in this country, would have not come up."
