"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, allow me to be very brief because the House is well aware of the objectives of this Commission. It will be recalled that the primary objective of the Commission, including this one, is already laid out in our Constitution. Allow me to read it loudly because it is very important under this Article 249(1). It says:- âThe objects of the commissions and the independent offices are toâ (a) protect the sovereignty of the people; (b) secure the observance by all State organs of democratic values and principles; and, (c) promote constitutionalismâ."
