"content": "There are many other issues which have been addressed like betting, lotteries and gaming, which are important. I am an official in the Football Federation of Kenya and we have lost much since we increased taxes on lotteries and gaming. Our sports, particularly football, are crumbling. It is important for us to look at what was being charged in the past and restore it. Sporting is an industry that we need to continue promoting. Betting companies had come in handy in supporting Gor Mahia and the AFC Leopards. They were getting around Kshs300 million, which went a long way in promoting sports."
