"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity in order to pass a word of condolence to the families of those children who perished in a road accident in Mwingi Central. It is painful to lose a loved one, particularly a young one. In my observation, school managements need to consider the experience of drivers when employing. They should also not consider drivers who do not travel long distances. When they get an opportunity to drive, it is so difficult for them because they are not used to driving every day. They get tired. Sometime they do no sleep on time. They are overworked. There must be a time limit to be able to concentrate on the road. The other problem is the contractors. Some contractors have turned out to be rogue. They do not put road signs within a construction area. For example, on Friday, I arrived home at 11 p.m. because of a contractor who could not provide a diversion. They had blocked all the roads. There is no diversion. Imagine if it was a school bus and there was rain. Accidents can easily occur."
