    "content": "At the outset, I want to thank the Deputy Speaker, Sen. (Prof.) Kindiki, for his reasoned ruling on the sub judice issue . I note that as he gave the ruling, it became evident why he took time to prepare it; it is a landmark ruling. It is especially so if you look at the provisions of Standing Order No. 92(2) with respect to the history of our judicial system and the fact that it is almost impossible that any deliberation of the Senate or of Parliament, for that matter, can be prejudicial to the fair determination of a matter that is under judicial consideration. Madam Temporary Speaker, I also want to make it very clear that at no one time have we or I intended to impute improper motives on anyone. If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck and walks like a duck, it is must be a duck!"
