    "content": "The maize saga is one of the most painful things, especially when you read the history of the huge sums of money that have been squandered and stolen by known farmers. We cannot continue to go in this direction as a nation. We must put a stop to this matter and the only body that can do so is this Senate, by legislating and innovating various methodologies that will help us to cover this inefficiencies and deficiencies that we notice in the coffee, maize, tea, and pyrethrum sectors, besides other cash crops that Kenyan farmers are engaged in without any reasonable returns."
