    "content": "Therefore, the Bill is being re-introduced in the House to facilitate the necessary reforms in that sector. The principal objective and purpose of this Bill is to amend the SACCO Societies Act No. 14 of 2008, in order to provide for the registration and licensing of SACCO societies as deposit-taking savings and credit cooperatives which will turn them into micro finance institutions.
