"content": "Sir Winston Churchill said that democracy is the worst form of government except for any other. In a way, I tend to side with him because I always tend to go through history so that I know where we are, the status we are in as a society and even the best way we can move forward as a democracy, nation and an economy. There are so many examples that support that quote by Sir Winston Churchill because there is a very clear correlation between a strengthened democracy, liberalism, pluralism, growth in the society, improved livelihoods and standards of life. I say so because if you study mature democracies like the United States of America (USA), you will very clearly appreciate that the society that became more liberal, that is the southern part of USA, became more advanced and grew faster even in terms of per capita income and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) than the upper side. I tend to believe that the opposite of what we have in terms of democracy is where we have strong men and classes like nobility taking the role of leading others. Democracy and liberalism always open up space for every person to participate."
