I support this Bill and hope that my good friend will consider the suggestions, so that we can not only put in order, but also make some little money. It is all about money. If our counties can generate more revenue, we can reduce the amount of debt that we have in this country. The reason we are borrowing is that you will find counties such as Tana River, for lack of a better example, a few years ago was only collecting Kshs26 million a year, yet they are being allocated up to Kshs4 billion. Therefore, I fully support any legislation that encourages county governments to be creative in terms of revenue collection."
