"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. Listening to the presentation by the Leader of the Majority and Leader of the Minority, both arguments have merit. The question we need to ask ourselves is: In terms of the use of time, would it be fair that the House is taken through a Bill which has a lot of similarities to the one in the Senate or would it be better if we only address the gaps by allowing amendments? That is the question you are being asked to guide the House on, Hon. Deputy Speaker. What is a Private Member’s Bill? It is important that we also support Members’ Bills in this House. Generally, you are saying the same thing. However, in terms of efficient use of our time as a House, I propose that the best way is that if there is another Bill - unless there is a serious problem and that Bill is the same - we allow those gaps to be filled at that level. We would get a law within a very short time. We have been in this House for many years and we know how long the processes of First, Second and Third Readings take."
