I wish to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and Technology Question No. 158/2018. a) Is the Cabinet Secretary aware that there is a decline in print media sales due to increasing preference for online media services including online newspapers and social media platforms among others? b) In light of (a) above, what mechanisms has the Ministry put in place to protect the print media sub-sector from collapse? c) Can the Cabinet Secretary provide accurate information on the negative economic impact of declining print media sales specifying number of jobs lost, income loss and reduction of tax income?"
