Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended in the proposed amendments to the Children Act No. 8 of 2001 by deleting— (j)The proposed amendment to section 177(1); This is indicating who shall do adoptions. After that we come to a registered adoption society. That is amended by bringing in the National Adoption Society. I still insist that it should be removed. That is the essence of that amendment."
