    "content": "THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended in the proposed amendments to the Children Act No. 8 of 2001 by deleting— (k) The proposed amendment to section 179(2); This amendment is by Hon. Millie and her essence is that we have the adoption committee that has been set up. What this amendment is seeking to do, is to have the Cabinet Secretary directing the same committee on what to do. The concern of Hon. Millie is that we are putting institutions but we are usurping the powers and handing most of the powers to the Cabinet Secretary. That is the essence of that amendment."
