    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I support the amendments proposed by the Chair because of one fundamental reason. Trade union rights are human rights and as such, by bringing such amendments through this process, this House will greatly be infringing on the rights of trade unions. Under Section 41 of the Constitution, it is clearly outlined. I am sure that Section 41 is under the Bill of Rights and it will be fundamentally wrong to bring all these clauses through the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill. That is the basic reason. The rights of workers must remain protected. I am sure this country desires to have a quality workforce in all sectors. We cannot do that by taking away their rights. So, fundamentally, if all these amendments have to be brought, it has to go through another wider and more consultative process. I support the Chair that these amendments be carried as they are."
