I beg to move: THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended in the proposed amendments to the Biosafety Act, 2009, (No. 2 of 2009) by inserting the following new amendment immediately after the proposed amendment to Section 6(1) ─ (1A) Any person who, immediately before the commencement of this section was a member of the Board shall be deemed to be a member of the reconstituted Board for the unexpired period of his or her term of service. I think this is just to provide for a transitional clause where any person who immediately before the commencement of this section was a member of the board shall be deemed to be a member of the reconstituted board for the unexpired period of his or her term of service."
