Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended by deleting all the proposed amendments to the Land Act, 2012 and substituting therefor the following— s.28 (1) Delete and substitute therefor the following new subsection— (I) The rent, royalties and payments reserved under any lease or licence shall be a debt owed to the national or county government, as the case may be, and shall be paid by the lessee or licensee at the office of the respective government or at such place as such government may prescribe."
