    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity to add my voice to this Petition. I want to congratulate the people of Mwatate, through Sen. Mwaruma, for bringing this Petition to the Senate. Mr. Speaker, Sir, as my colleagues have stated, land issues are very emotive. If they are not properly handled, they will explode into violence. I like what Sen. Mwaruma has said, that the people of Taita Taveta County are not war-like people. However, I urge that neighbouring communities invading land belonging to the people of Mwatate in Taita Taveta County are not encouraged to take advantage of the peaceful nature of the people of Taita Taveta. Mr. Speaker, Sir, therefore, I urge the Committee that this Petition will be forwarded to for action, without diluting the import of the Petition by the people of The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
