While we appreciate the answer given by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government, there are bumper harvests in some parts of this country, especially in the Rift Valley. It is also surprising that in the same area, Subukia, the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in camps are getting rotten maize. This scenario does not augur very well for us. If we can give our people infected maize and then we have a bumper maize harvest, there is something wrong in the policy and management of our food resources."
