    "content": "Madam Temporary Speaker, I have just summarized my contribution, otherwise the importance of this Bill cannot be underestimated. In fact, our counties are currently running different programmes. Teachers in ECDE centres have got different names; some counties call them ‘care takers’ while others call them different names. Therefore, this Bill will provide a framework for the employment, remuneration and professional development of teachers in early childhood education. This includes a structure of how they will be remunerated, professionally developed and even promoted. Therefore, this Bill had gone to a higher level, but it was overtaken by events during the elections. Otherwise, it would have been enacted to become an Act of Parliament. This Bill is very important and most of the counties are waiting for it so that it may enable them to proceed and continue providing ECDE effectively and systematically.
