If the Minister wants to help farmers in this country, she should not look at the large-scale farmers. The multitude of people who are common wananchi have small farms. Those people should be funded so that they can buy agricultural inputs like chemicals so that they can grow crops. Sometimes, they go to shylocks and borrow money from them. Although the amount of money these farmers get from shylocks is very little, they pay very high interest. By the time a farmer finishes the payment, the amount is three times and he or she gets absolutely nothing."
