We know that the mode of communication that is cheap and quick is short text message. So, it leaves a lot to be desired if the Auditor-General goes to some constituencies and questions the mode of inviting participants for a training that is offered by the Government with facilitators from the Auditor-General’s Office and the Public Procurement Office, just because they were invited through short text messages. I was surprised that he raised that one as an audit query, saying that there was no letter of invitation. It is high time the Auditor-General improved when it comes to reporting so that he sends the right signal to the people on the ground."
