    "content": "The meeting resolution was to call upon all State parties to ratify the Protocol which Kenya had not ratified. Tobacco use and exposure is one of the leading causes of chronic non- communicable disease including cardio-vascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and chronic obstructive lung diseases. These diseases are the leading causes of obesity and mortality globally causing more deaths than all other causes combined. In consideration of the Protocol, the Committee held a briefing meeting with the Ministry of Health, which is the implementing agency of the agreement."
