    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support the proposed amendment by the Member for Kikuyu, Hon. Ichungw’ah. On the issue of imprest, the names of many Members of this House who had taken imprest towards the end of the financial year found themselves in newspaper lists of shame as owing Parliament some money. The reality is that those are monies given to the Members to meet travel expenses, but they were unable to surrender it before the closure of the financial year.
