    "content": "In the same breath, I support the Report as presented by the Public Accounts Committee lead by my brother, Hon. Opiyo Wandayi. Article 229 has given a wide range of responsibilities to the Auditor-General. Indeed, there are so many responsibilities that call for proper funding of that department. They look at the national and county governments’ audit queries, all funds and authorities of the national and county governments, accounts of all courts of law, every commission, and independent offices established by the Constitution and audit queries at the National Assembly, the Senate and county assemblies. They look at the Political Parties Fund, funded by public funds and scrutinise our public debt. So, we need to firstly develop their capacity. Even the Report that has been scrutinised and re-examined by the Public Accounts Committee relates to the Financial Year 2014/15."
