As a Member of the Public Accounts Committee, I have seen corruption in its true colours especially corruption that happens through procurement. We keep on interrogating Government officials and I believe we have mentioned in our recommendations that we have a very huge Government. The bigger the Government, the more Government entities we have. These are just but avenues for corruption or avenues of siphoning Government resources. We have many entities that are engaged in business. The more entities we have that compete with the private sector and cannot be sufficient, the more we open ways for people to corrupt the system."
