Wamatangi, when you exercise the powers of the office of Chairperson of a Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Kenya, you should be dispassionate. Therefore, your interest in petitions, statements et cetera that come before you should be equal, regardless of where they come from. While you sit as the Senator for Kiambu County and perform that duty, you are expected to push your county issues. However, you cannot use this prime time to tell the people of Kenya that if a petition comes before the Committee you chair and it is from Kiambu County, you will have a greater interest in it."
