    "content": "This Committee, established by the Statutory Instruments Act of 2013; the provision of Section 13 requires that the Committee carries out scrutiny of any statutory instruments to be guided by the principles of good governance, rule of law and in particular, consider the statutory instruments. There are a couple of things we need to consider but at this point, I would not wish to bore the House because they are all stated in the Standing Orders. Therefore, I will proceed to the next agenda given the time constraint. Madam Temporary Speaker, during the period under review, the Committee held 31 sittings and one induction workshop. The Committee attended two workshops organised by other Government agencies, including the consultative workshop on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) regulation by the Ministry of Devolution and ASAL Areas and the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Annual Conference."
