    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. Allow me to congratulate Sen. Farhiya for the detailed report. Madam Temporary Speaker, the importance of the Committee is in as far as making sure that the regulations in whatever Bills we pass are brought to this House. Last week, we were debating the amendments to the Statutory Instruments Act. It was a pity that the Senate had been left out in the process of checking the regulation. Madam Temporary Speaker, we pass good laws with very good and clear intentions. However, when we give that responsibility to another body or other office to come up with a regulation and we do not see it, then we are not sure whether that regulation is actually addressing what we had in mind. So, it is good to make sure that the Statutory Instruments Act is amended. I urge the Committee to follow up all the regulations which come up, so that the spirit of what we pass here is not lost. Thank you."
