    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I want to be on record that as we legislate, we need to do it for the betterment of this country. We should not be soft or lenient simply because there are lazy people who do not do their job well. I support to some measure the amendment by Hon. Tonui. We need your guidance to make some amendments to this particular Clause and omit all section after the word “or” so that we only have “Any payment that is due arising out of a contract under this Act shall be paid within the terms of the contract.” I want to humbly request him to delete that remaining part and withdraw that amendment. We are responsible people. We know the challenges and the circumstances we normally find ourselves in. However, if it is within the terms of the contract, let it be."
