"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Report by the Departmental Committee on Health. At the outset, I wish to support it. I am a Member of the Committee. Having visited the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital, I must say that it is a worthy investment. However, it can also be described as a shame to our country. We have put all that money in such an investment and then towards the tail end, we are not able to finance the same to be operationalised. With an investment of Kshs8.7 billion, we have come up with a hospital that is one of the best in East and Central Africa. We do not have a hospital of that calibre in Sub- Saharan Africa."
