Speaker, I rise to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Petroleum and Mining the following Question: a) Is the Caryabinet Secret aware that in the late 2017, eight artisanal miners from Suna West Constituency lost their lives as a result of collapse of mines during the mining process? b) What measures is the ministry putting in place to ensure that miners are sensitized on the safety procedures during mining processes? c) Could the ministry consider compensating families of persons who lost their lives as a result of collapsed mines?
