Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 11of the Bill be amended in sub-clause (2) by deleting the words “with the approval of the Cabinet Secretary” appearing immediately after the words “the Council may”. The justification for this is that the Council should not consult the Cabinet Secretary on everything including co-opting a member of the Committee. This is a very simple thing. They do not need to consult the Cabinet Secretary on who and why to co-opt."
