    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this Motion. At the outset, I rise to support the Motion on the appointment of Maj. (Rtd) Twalib Abdallah Mbarak as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). EACC is a very important institution in the fight against corruption but, lately, we have observed that EACC operational framework is receding at an alarming rate. In fact, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and Mr. Haji are doing a better job than EACC. We, therefore, hope that with this appointment, we are going to see a lot of vigor and action by EACC in the fight against corruption."
