"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Motion on the appointment of the incoming EACC CEO. I thank the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs for a job well done. Having said that, I support the Report, I also want to mention a few things though my colleagues have mentioned them. This country seems to have a high affinity towards appointing ex-military men to positions of investigations and prosecution. That begs some questions. Is it that civilians cannot be trusted with investigative powers in the fight against corruption because The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
