You see the reason why we use statistics to project economic growth is because it is assumed that money voted for development at the beginning of the financial year is going to be applied uniformly throughout the year to stir economic growth. The moment you do not release funds for development or even release it towards the end of the financial year, it affects the economic growth of a country, hence creating a multiplier and ripple effect on the economy."
