I rise to ask Question No. 39 of 2019 to the CS for National Treasury and Planning: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary give the status of tax collection in the country from 2014 to date, indicating the various categories of taxpayers, that is, individuals, corporates and businesses, stating the amounts collected vis-à-vis what was projected? (ii) What steps are in place to ensure improved tax revenue collection?"
