"content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I rise to support the Statement by Sen. Wetangula about the DLP. I know the Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Orengo did mention about collapsed projects in this country. I do not want to say it is collapsed, but it looks like it has shifted from what it was intended to be. This programme was mooted in 2013. It is now some 7 years. I do not know why it took us 7 years for us to change course and decide we will build computer laboratories in schools. This project was to be driven by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The Speaker mentioned that the Ministry of Education has a lot to answer about this. However, this was supposed to be driven by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and The ICT Authority.
