    "content": "When you look at the projected benefits of this project, it was going to benefit not only the people of Elgeyo-Marakwet County, but the whole nation. One of the projected benefits was that it was going to deal with food insecurity and unemployment, and these are among the Big Four Agenda that we are working up to. There is need for this issue to be addressed so that the beneficiaries of these projects can benefit from the intended project. As a nation, we need to look for partners – like the Italian Government – that are well meaning and want to come to invest for the purpose of ensuring that the community benefits from their actions. Mr. Speaker, Sir, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is something that benefits the community. In this Parliament, we have heard of projects that are started in communities, but the communities do not benefit from them. However, this intended project was supposed to benefit the residents of Elgeyo-Marakwet County."
