Members, my office has received several proposed amendments to the Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2018, namely, from Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning and four individual Members. Some of these amendments make provisions for matters listed in the definition of ‘a money Bill’ pursuant to the provisions of Article 114(2) of the Constitution and Standing Order 114. Other amendments also propose to deal with a new subject or propose to unreasonably or unduly expand the subject of The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
