Therefore, we should be collecting ordinary revenue which is close to Kshs2trillion. As the Budget and Appropriations Committee, that is one item which we took up with the National Treasury. They need to make sure that we collect all the revenue that is possible. It is possible that some monies are lost somewhere whether in the collection system, collection methods or because most of our payments have gone digital. We settle our payments through Mpesa and other online payments which the KRA officials do not detect for purpose of revenue collection."
