"content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I see newspapers in this country, and I could see where the Senate Minority Leader was going. In this nation, we have weaponized the fight against corruption, it is a political tool. You must find a way of dragging a certain politician to reach there. If there is the worst form of campaign that is going on in this nation, it is the fact that everybody wants to throw mud to another person in preparation of 2022. We know them because they cannot compete on policy, programmes or anything else. They have to just look for a newspaper article and drag the name of so-and-so. Sen. Orengo spoke very well. He said “if you are a former Prime Minister and you have been mentioned that you stole public land for your local people in your community, you must take charge, or if you are former Vice President and even the President must be held responsible even though it is not a court process. However, there is a political process of holding people responsible. I have seen that if anything comes up, they say it is the President’s sister or brother. This is because someone wants to drag in a big man so that they sound like they are fighting corruption. I caution this nation that if we politicize the fight against corruption, we will never succeed.
